Barcode recognition feature added to OrCam MyEye

The OrCam MyEye 2.0 artificial vision device now has a new barcode recognition feature.

It has been designed to help blind and visually impaired people to identify tens of thousands of consumer products when they are in a shop. The device can also read printed and digital text off any surface, recognise faces and identify bank notes in real time.

This feature has been rolled out to all existing users of the device through a recent software update.
