Basuta conquers Three Peaks

Optometrist Ravi Basuta has raised £1,000 for charity Vision Aid Overseas by successfully completing the Three Peaks challenge.

Basuta climbed a total ascent of 10,000ft after taking on Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon.

Basuta said: 'It was a tough physical and mental challenge; the weather wasn't on our side at Ben Nevis and Snowdon but I'm pleased to say that we all managed to finish it. I hope the money raised will go a long way to helping Vision Aid Overseas support people who don't have the access to the eye care that we take so much for granted in the UK. I had so much fun doing it and raising the money so I'd like to say thank you to everyone who donated towards my JustGiving page.'
