Bausch+Lomb ends Sno-Strips production

Following the discontinuation of Fluorets in March (News 29.03.13), Bausch+Lomb has announced the cessation of manufacturing, distribution and sales of Sno-Strips and manufacturing of the combined Minims proxymetacaine fluorescein formulation.

The manufacturer said the decision to stop Sno-Strips activity was a result of a discontinued business relationship with its paper supplier and emphasised that it was not the result of any safety concern or product recall. Supply is limited to current inventory and was expected to last until January 2014.

Manufacturing of the combined Minims proxymetacaine fluorescein formulation will stop on December 31 2013, but Minims proxymetacaine and Minims fluorescein will continue to be marketed as individual products.
