Bayfields launches specialist nationwide tinnitus service

Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists has launched a specialist tinnitus service nationwide to tackle rising cases after Tinnitus UK reported an increase in prevalence of the condition of 50% over the past 15 years.

Audiology experts at the Tinnitus Clinic would provide a free 15-minute tinnitus hearing health check to complement existing ear wax removal and hearing aid solution services.

For patients diagnosed with the condition, a subsequent in-depth 75-minute personalised examination would be offered, including a digital consultation to identify the type of tinnitus and provide management advice.

Sarah Griffiths, tinnitus specialist audiologist at Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists, said: ‘We’re seeing a real increase in clients who are suffering with the effects of tinnitus in recent years, and it’s affecting people of all ages.
