The British Contact Lens Association has selected the Micro and the Anophthalmic Children's Society (MACS) as its charity of the year for 2011/12.
The society supports parents of children with microphthalmia, anophthalmia and coloboma, and funds research projects through volunteering and fundraising.
The BCLA has booked stands for MACS at November's Pioneers Conference in London and at its May 2012 conference and exhibition in Birmingham.
In additional fundraising efforts, MACS has also offered places for the 2012 London Marathon, together with tickets for its Autumn Ball in London on October 22.
