The British Contact Lens Association has chosen the Keratoconus Group as its Charity of the Year for 2010-11.
The charity, which aims to raise awareness of the condition in the UK, as well as supporting research into keratoconus (KC), will have a stand at the Pioneers Conference in London (November 23) as well as at the 2011 BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition (May 26-29). It will also receive publicity in mailings and conference packs.
The charity's chair of trustees Anne Klepacz said: 'We are keen to reach more people with the condition and BCLA members are uniquely placed to spread the word about our organisation.'
