The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) has become the latest professional association member to join the Global Myopia Awareness Coalition (GMAC).
This partnership will expand GMAC’s global network while strengthening its efforts to raise awareness and encourage global action on childhood myopia.
Olga Prenat, chair of GMAC, commented: ‘We are excited to welcome BCLA as GMAC’s newest member. Their expertise in myopia management and commitment to advancing eye health will strengthen our collective efforts.’
Luke Stevens-Burt, chief executive of the BCLA, noted that the subject of myopia management had been at the forefront of its educational content for several years, and added:
