BCLA kickstarts contact lens awareness

The campaign will support ECPs and show the value of CLs

The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) has set up a resource and awareness campaign to support eye care professionals in highlighting the value of contact lenses (CLs).

The Love Your Lenses Week 2022 campaign (June 13-19) will provide a printed and online resource pack, including t-shirts, pens, stickers, posters and digital assets, to the first 200 UK practitioners registered.

BCLA’s chief executive, Luke Stevens-Burt, said: ‘We want to inspire eye care professionals to get talking about CLs and highlight the importance of high-quality aftercare for continued healthy lens wear – and also sourcing their CLs from reputable, legal retailers.

‘The campaign raises awareness of safe CL wear and the benefits of wearing CLs while sharing stories of the life-changing impact lenses have had on people from all walks of life.’

Stevens-Burt added that the BCLA is passionate about the role CLs play in eye health and want the eye health community to also get involved in sharing important messages on the topic.
