British Contact Lens Association will hold a myopia management webinar on September 6, at 7pm, to discuss recent guidance issued by the College of Optometrists.
The online event will be presented by Richard Edwards, Optical Consumer Complaints Service clinical consultant, with panelists: Max Halford, ABDO clinical lead, Peter Hampson, AOP clinical and professional director and Dr Paramdeep Bilkhu, clinical adviser to the College of Optometrists.
Luke Stevens-Burt, chief executive at the BCLA, said: ‘Myopia management is an increasingly important area of optical practice, given the spiralling prevalence of myopia globally, and has the potential to reshape the role of optometry in public health for the next generation.
He added that it will explore the latest developments, while professional bodies will share their views on what clinicians need to know and what they need to do in this emerging field of practice.
