News Contact lenses

British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) president Rakesh Kapoor encouraged practitioners to be ambitious and have meaningful conversations with patients during his inaugural address at the Royal College of Physicians on November 29.

Kapoor, a Specsavers partner in Wembley, Wembley Park, Edgware and Stanmore and a visiting Aston university professor, discussed the results of an ECP survey and explored what professionals can learn from overseas contact lens businesses.

Entitled 'Insights and Visions: A Practitioner's Perspective on the Future of the Contact Lens Industry in the UK', Kapoor’s address encouraged practitioners to offer the full range of correction options, including contact lenses.

As the current BCLA president, Kapoor said he was confident in the sector and honoured to ensure the organisation continues to thrive for many years to come.
