Optometrist and dispensing optician Indie Grewal will deliver his address as president of the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) via a webinar on September 10.
The event is being held online for the first time due to ongoing concerns over the pandemic, meaning overseas BCLA members will be able to attend for the first time.
Grewal, who takes over from Jonathon Bench as president, will discuss the technologies practitioners can use to engage patients and create a lasting first impression.
‘Creating a lasting first impression has always been important when meeting someone new, never more so than today. It can take less than a second for you to judge someone and create a first impression, it’s time to make that second count,’ he said.
