Issues surrounding the impact of ophthalmic technology on everyday contact lens practice will be explored by British Contact Lens Association president Andy Yorke at his presidential address on Wednesday September 18 in London.

On his ‘Rise of the Machines’ talk, Yorke said: ‘What I want to try and capture is the impact that instrumentation, machinery and technology have had on the development of the contact lens industry and profession over the years.’

This event will be held at the Royal Society of Medicine at 1 Wimpole Street, London. BCLA members may attend for free, along with one non-member guest each.
