Next year's British Contact Lens Association conference will feature a host of international speakers addressing the most pertinent issues in contact lens and anterior eye practice today.
Principal keynote speaker will be Professor Debbie Sweeney from Australia, who will lead the one-day symposium 'The battle against the bugs', and will discuss the latest theories on eye infection and inflammation. The recipient of the 2008 BCLA Medal is Professor Desmond Fonn from Canada, who will chair a three-way debate on which vision correction method - Lasik, Ortho-K or continuous wear soft lenses - offers the best results. There will also be a special session on the causes, management and prevention of non-compliance plus a final session on risk and its clinical significance.
