BCLA Webinar to improve CL patient experience

CooperVision professional affairs consultant Samantha Watson led a BCLA webinar on Wednesday November 6 aimed at improving the customer experience of contact lens patients.

The webinar, delivered by CooperVision, examined recent research to better understand the contact lens journey and consider practical solutions for greater efficiencies in practice and better patient experiences.

Watson, a BCLA fellow and contact lens optician, said: ‘Contact lenses open the door to many opportunities for wearers but can be problematic early in that journey towards contact lens adoption both for patient and practice.’

‘New research sheds light on the perspectives from a patient, prospective patient and practice staff. This offers the chance to pinpoint barriers and enables practical suggestions to overcome these obstacles for contact lens adoption,’ she added.
