Football star David Beckham has been chosen as the new face of the Police brand.
Italian eyewear manufacturer and distributor De Rigo chose the footballer to promote the designer sunglasses and ophthalmics as part of the '6 figures' contract. De Rigo managing director Silvia Nanni said: 'We are delighted that he has agreed to become the new face of the brand. We are currently having some models specially designed for him.' Beckham will appear in point-of-sale material and in advertising throughout the UK and Japan from March.
