Ian Berry has been hired as the practice programme manager for instrument firm Heidelberg Engineering.
Berry, most recently marketing manager for the medical division of Carl Zeiss, will be responsible for tailoring products and services to the needs of the optometric practice.
'We understand that OCT technology is a significant investment for an optometric practice,' said Krysten Williams, general manager of Heidelberg Engineering.
'We have appointed Ian as practice programme manager to ensure that we deliver a complete diagnostic imaging programme for optometric practices that offers a substantial return and secure protection of that investment.'
Haag-Streit remains the exclusive distributor of Heidelberg until March 31, when a deal to bring distribution in-house comes into effect.
