Big names line up for Optra awards

Eyefashion 2000 organisers, the Ophthalmic Exhibitors' Association, has announced the nominations for the show's Optra awards. There are six categories, and the OEA is also hosting the Spectacle Makers Company Award for British-made frames.

Five products from each category have been nominated and only the top three will win awards. First prize winners will receive a specially commissioned gold Optra. The nominees are: women's frames - In-Specs, Norville Group (two entries), Silhouette UK, Sinclair Optical Services. Men's frames - AMA Optic, Atlantic Optical UK, In-Specs, Silhouette UK, Sinclair Optical Services. Unisex frames: In-Specs (two), Metzler Optik Partner, Norville, Safilo UK. Children's frames - Atlantic Optical UK, In-Specs, International Eyewear, Norville Group (two). Sunglasses - In-Specs, L'Amy, Maui Jim Europe, Norville Group (two). Sports - Lindberg, Norville Group (two), Sigma, Silhouette UK. British-made frames - Cambridge Optical (two), Norville Group (two).
