Big names lined up for Eye Show

More details have emerged about The Eye Show exhibition and conference taking place at London's ExCel next month.

The organiser of the midweek show, Dawn Kime, event director of Emergexpo, said 70 per cent of pre-registered visitors and 47 per cent of exhibitors were from the UK.

Overseas visitors have been boosted by a hosted buyers programme through which the organiser pays for the accommodation and travel for accredited buyers. In return the buyers are asked to have at least 12 one-to-one meetings with interested exhibitors.

Emergexpo said buyers from independent and high street opticians, wholesalers and distributors were all represented. Buyers are expected from the UK and Europe and countries as far afield as the US and Uzbekistan.
