B&L faces hundreds of lawsuits

Bausch & Lomb has been targeted by 573 ReNu with MoistureLoc related product liability suits as of October 16, according to the company's filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The lawsuits were filed in various federal and state courts as well as in other non-US jurisdictions, reports Reuters.

The lawsuits include 550 individual actions filed on behalf of individuals who claim they suffered personal injury as a result of using the solution, and a federally filed consolidated class action.

B&L stated that it was not possible to estimate damages resulting from the recall.
