
Riders wearing Bollé frames at this year’s Tour De France have been outfitted with the French brand’s new Lightshifter frames featuring new Volt+ lenses.
Volt+ is the first sunglass lens ever created using artificial intelligence (AI), according to Bollé, with over 20 million colour combinations tested virtually to create a richer visual experience. The lenses offer up to 30% superior colour enhancement as a result of the AI’s help, which the company says will provide its riders with the ability to see their surroundings more vibrantly.
The company also planned to debut its Lightshifter visor frames at the prestigious cycling event, with optical practices able to acquire them later this year as part of the Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
