Boots Opticians staff will not be affected by an announcement by Boots UK for a proposed reduction of between 300 and 350 management roles at the chain.
It was making the cuts to ‘further consolidate store leadership’ and expected a combination of natural attrition, redeployment, retraining and redundancy.
The Nottingham-based firm said it would begin formal consultations with assistant store managers in larger stores across the country, as part of a wider three year plan by US owner Walgreens Boots Alliance.
