Boots Opticians has started its rebranding roll-out of Dollond & Aitchison practices which it expects to have 'largely completed during 2010/11', doubling the current level of Boots Opticians branded practices.
The company revealed that over 40 former D&A practices had already become Boots Opticians by the end of April 2010, while by the end of the year 80 practices will be rebranded.
The statement was made at a press conference to announce Alliance Boots' preliminary financial results for the year ending March 31, 2010.
As a result of the merger with D&A, Boots Opticians' revenue increased by 76.8 per cent in comparison to the previous financial year to £320m, an increase of 0.2 per cent on a like for like basis.
