Boots to rebrand most D&A sites by end 2010

Boots expects to have transferred the majority of Dollond & Aitchison practices to the Boots brand by the end of next year and has already started to look at ways of expanding the network from its current total of 690.

In an exclusive interview with Optician managing director Andy Ferguson said a huge amount of work had been done to bring Boots and D&A together and that work had been going on behind the scenes for many months.

'Teams are working really well together. Colleagues in the business are saying they are delighted with what we are doing and they are looking forward to the future. Customers are responding well and we are working on a transformation of the business and how we should compete.'
