Optical bosses met with the Prime Minister's wife Cherie Blair at a Downing Street reception last week in support of a north west therapy animal centre.
Kevin Horkin (right), the boss of Accrington chain Spex Opticians, and trustee of the Lords House Farm, helped arrange the event. David Moulsdale, chief executive of Optical Express (left) and Michael Selcott (second right) attended, along with Marco Patalano (Safilo) Michel and Fiona Cromb (Essilor). The charity, which helps disabled and disadvantaged adults and children, aims to raise 1m in 12 months.
