For the seventh year running, UltraVision staff, friends and family have been filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

The charity, which has been running since 1990, provides shoe boxes filled with gift items to children who are victims of war, poverty, famine, disease and natural disaster.

Last year, UltraVision sent over 40 boxes and this year it said it had sent 65 boxes to the much deserving children. In 2006 over 1.24 million shoe boxes were delivered from the UK to needy children across eastern Europe and Africa.

UltraVision's distribution supervisor Julie Oldfield organises the collection of shoe boxes and delivers them to the warehouse at Dunstable, Bedfordshire, every year.
