Lenses use ‘Moistureseal’ SiHy technology, claiming 16 hours of moisture

Bausch and Lomb held a press briefing in London last week to announce the launch of its Ultra contact lenses in the UK.

The new product was being supported by a marketing campaign around digital eye strain. New research by B+L found the average Briton spent seven hours staring at screens, while a third of people extended this to nine hours.

The Ultra lenses used ‘Moistureseal’ SiHy technology claiming 16 hours of moisture retention, with the research also showing 36.2% of contact lens wearers had irritated eyes after office work. A fifth of respondents admitted to being addicted to their digital devices, with more than half checking them every 30 minutes.
