Bradford College’s ophthalmic department has relocated to the newly renovated Garden Mills building – a move preceded by success in the National Student Survey (NSS).
The Thornton Road five-storey building has now been made the home of flexible digital, science and allied health programmes for higher-level students.
Contractors Tilbury Douglas led the project and installation of a new ophthalmic dispensing suite, prep room, clinical suite, real-life work environment, a collaboration area, six digital IT labs and teaching spaces.
The Office for Students (OfS) Higher Education Capital Fund contributed £5.8m to the Garden Mills transformation, while £1.1m in funding also came from Bradford College.
