Last monthÕs Mido show in Milan opened up the world markets even further for the Brulimar Optical Group, providing the company with a new contract in Mexico. The order, from a 400-store chain in Mexico called Devlyn Opticas, is for Brulimar to supply its outlets with the new 2002 Barbie and Action Man ranges, which are now available in the UK. Manchester-based Brulimar also saw strong sales across its ranges, with the Ito Nakamua and Allesandro DiMarco collections proving particularly big attractions. Managing director Howard Librae said: ÔWe have worked hard to provide eyewear that is fashionable and exciting, but also well-made and practical. This attention to detail is reflected in the enthusiastic response we received at Mido.ÕAnd, he added, ÔWinning the contract in Mexico was the icing on the cake.Õ
