British eyewear supplier and manufacturer, Brulimar Optical, has agreed a five-year licensing deal with Time Life Inc to produce Life reading glasses and other optical products.
Howard Librae, CEO of Brulimar, said: ‘We’re aiming to capture the spirit of what this long-standing and much loved Life brand evokes by utilising images from this iconic vintage magazine with a series of hi-tech and high fashion reading glasses.’
Each frame comes with a Life monogrammed slip-in pouch. A floor standing Life branded self-service display that holds 125 frames is also available. The initial collection of five eye-shapes is available in lens powers +1.00, +1.50, +2.00, +2.50 and +3.00. Constructed from Ultem, the company said the frames had high tensile strength and excellent flexibility, with a built-in memory feature that ensured they returned to the original shape.
