Flextra is a new unisex collection from eyewear supplier Brulimar Optical designed to tick both fashion and practicality boxes for patients.
To achieve this, the metal has been made with memory properties so the temples return to their original shape. The Flextra frames are made from inert and nickel-free titanium and therefore suitable for people with nickel allergies.
‘The eyewear is extremely lightweight to suit people that wear glasses every day or for long periods. They’re also great for those that have a large prescription because, even with hi-index lenses, eyewear can be heavy. A super-lightweight frame like one in the Flextra collection offers the best of both fashionable and practical worlds,’ said Brulimar managing director Howard Librae.
A special colouring process has also been incorporated to reach a wide range of vivid and modern colours. The collection showcases pops of bright tones in understated locations, like the temple covers, that contrast with the neutral matte hue used for the rest of the frame.
