Business as usual for Signet's Kodak lenses

Signet Armorlite has stressed that the recent bankruptcy of Kodak in the US would not affect its own Kodak Lens operations or the brand itself.

Signet said it was 'business as usual' despite Eastman Kodak Company and its US subsidiaries filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on January 19.

The company has an exclusive worldwide Kodak licence to manufacture, distribute and sell optical lenses under the Kodak brand name.

Signet head of marketing Mark Ireland said: 'The production, distribution and selling of Kodak Lens products will not be affected. Signet Armorlite is a company fully owned by Essilor International and is completely independent of Eastman Kodak.'
