C-Spex covers all the angles

Optometrist Alan Bellamy who runs two independent practices in the Midlands has a low cost solution to the problem of how to let patients see how good they look in frames when they have taken off their spectacles.

The optometrist launched the C-Spex software after finding existing solutions to be too 'cumbersome', 'inflexible' and relatively expensive. 'I realised that all practices tend to do things a little differently and that we need a system that can be adapted to suit any dispensing environment,' Bellamy explained. 'Fortunately, I have a couple of friends who are IT experts. I gave them a brief of what my ideal system would be and they came back with something better.'
