cameraHaag-Streit UK has launched the DRS non-mydriatic digital retinal imaging camera. Fully automated, the DRS model requires minimal operator training, according to the company.

Featuring an integrated PC with a 160GB hard drive, the DRS has storage space for thousands of images, while the low power LED flash is incorporated to ensure patient comfort. Additionally, single-button operation enables the user to automatically self-align to the patient's eye, focus on the retina, adjust the flash level and capture a high quality image, in less than 30 seconds, said Haag-Streit. The DRS system will be on show at the company's stand (N10) at this year's Optrafair which will be held at the NEC Birmingham from April 9-11.
