Capello has been the public face and spokesman of the company Zerorh+ since he started modelling the eyewear in 2001.

The company said it had been planning to launch the eyewear in the UK but Capello's new job had 'catapulted things forward'.

Sarah Johnson told BBC Online that Zerorh+ had been bombarded with enquiries about its range from UK opticians and that an independent chain of opticians in London had already placed an order. She added that the demand for the frames worn by Capello, which go on sale this month, had been so great that the company had to have a new phone line put in.
