Carl Zeiss releases app to raise awareness of how digital devices affect eyes

Carl Zeiss Vision has released a consumer mobile app to raise awareness of how new technologies and digital devices have affected people’s eyes.

The My Vision Profile analysis tool can be used to determine their personal vision habits. It identifies consumers’ visual requirements from a cross-section of lifestyle activities: working environment, digital usage, mobility and leisure pursuits.

The lifestyle information collated results in a vision profile which users can take to an optician in their area, and in combination with the results of their eye examination, they will be able to receive the best Zeiss lens for their visual needs.

Zeiss Vision Care UK marketing and communications director, Peter Robertson said: ‘The app will not only provide lens recommendations, but it will also direct consumers to their nearest Zeiss partner, making it easier than ever before to obtain a customised lens solution.’
