Carrera decided to sponsor Bianchi Team as it is one of the strongest and most competitive mountain bike teams in the world. Last year it won both the Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup and European Marathon World Championship.
Carrera will be providing the athletes with the protective Dragonfly helmets and Shark sunglasses.
'Bianchi and Carrera share a common interest in the research for material and the design and technology of the products to further improve the athletes' performances and most importantly, increase their safety on the road,' said a spokesperson for the manufacturer, Safilo.
