Celebrities Dame Shirley Bassey (pictured), Barbara Windsor and Neil Morrissey have backed a new sight loss campaign by the RNIB.

The charity’s ‘See the need, demand support’ campaign seeks to raise awareness of the need for sight loss advisers in eye departments, to offer emotional support and practical advice to people who are losing their sight.

Portrait photographer Alistair Morrison shot still and moving images of Dame Shirley Bassey, Barbara Windsor and Neil Morrissey. The clips which show the subjects with their eyes closed before quickly opening them, and will be displayed on digital 6 sheet posters sites in London.

RNIB director of engagement, Fazilet Hadi, said: ‘Every 15 minutes someone in the UK starts to lose their sight and shamefully thousands of people are left without any emotional or practical support, to help them face the future without fear.’
