Practitioners from Conlons Opticians have stepped in to restore the vision of a 100-year-old man in Ghana.
They dispensed spectacles to the patient, Noah (pictured), during a visit to the country on behalf of Eye Aid for Africa.
The travelling team included optometrist Alice Joyce, from Conlons' Formby branch, dispensing manager Ian Hechle from its Barrow branch and dispensing manager Alison Fraser from the Dumfries branch.
Hechle said: 'It was hugely rewarding seeing countless patients who can now read for the first time as a result of the glasses we have given them.'
