A redesigned colorimeter that allows for a stable and calibrated illumination of text with coloured light has been developed by Cerium Visual Technologies.
The Mark II Colorimeter, differs from the previous design in that it allows hue and saturation to be manipulated independently, without any associated change in luminance. Cerium says the spectral power distribution is similar to that obtained with tinted spectacles under typical office lighting. - Contact 01580 765211. This simplifies the matching of the colour of tinted lenses to that of the colorimeter, even where the patient has anomolus colour vision, and may reduce the need for trial tinted lenses.
