A Dollond & Aitchison practice in Chard, Somerset, has had to reassure customers it is there to stay, following a story in thisiswestcountry.co.uk saying that Boots was set to take over the store.
The branch received over 150 enquiries, but Catherine Holten, optometrist and owner of 16 years, explained that the move was part of the re-branding of D&A stores after the merger with Boots Opticians.
She added that she saw the change as positive, with improved buying power and an increased frame range.
