Charitable donations milestone hit by Haine & Smith

Partners of Haine & Smith optical practices have donated over £150,000

Partners of Haine & Smith optical practices have donated over £150,000 since 1995 for local community groups across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

A percentage of the partners’ salary has been donated to its charitable fund each year, with over 600 donations made to local causes since the fund was created.

Donations were then distributed to grassroots organisations located near a practice, including the Marlborough Literature Festival and its LitFest Primary School Children’s Competition.

Sue Haine, co-founding partner at Haine & Smith, said: ‘We have always enjoyed being involved in the communities surrounding our practices, so in 1995 we established our charitable trust. Its goal was simple - to invest into the local communities that are home to our patients and employees who support us. We have been delighted to have helped so many local groups, charities and organisations over the years.’
