Charity jump at Specsavers

Staff from three Specsavers practices have raised over £2,500 for the Help for Heroes charity. The Croydon and Waltham Cross branches and their patients supported John Singh from the Milton Keynes store when he took part in a skydive in late July.

The three stores also ran three months' worth of fundraising activities, including a Eurovision themed fun day and in-store Bush Tucker Trial. Tom Kirkpatrick (right), store manager at the Croydon Church Street branch, said: 'I'm delighted with the total raised and cannot thank our customers enough.

We were all so proud of John completing the jump as we were a bit worried he would change his mind but luckily his bravery shone through.' Pictured with Kirkpatrick is merchandiser and optical adviser Vicky Porter.
