Optician edtor hits his initial target for fundraising in aid of Blind Veterans UK

Massive support from contact lens material maker Contamac has helped Optician edtor, Chris Bennett, hit his initial target for fundraising in aid of Blind Veterans UK as the second leg of his Summer Challenge approaches.

Contamac pledged £250, boosting the generous donations from Maui Jim, Ocuco, UltraVision CLPL, Specsavers, Stepper, Vision Express, Heidelberg, Leightons and the ACLM.

Hoya and Bolle have both made donations and provided kit to help Bennett in his challenges. Bennett’s target has now been raised from £1,000 to £1,200. ‘I am delighted that so many optical companies have donated,’ he said.

The second part of Bennett’s challenge is the Prudential Ride London 100 on Sunday July 31.
