CHEC to open Leeds ophthalmology hospital

Ophthalmology service provider Community Health and Eyecare (CHEC) announced it will open a new hospital in Headingley, Leeds, this summer 2024, located in Wirra Business Park.

CHEC was currently fitting out a 6,000 square foot building into a state-of-the-art facility, complete with one ophthalmology theatre, on-site parking and excellent transport links.

‘Patient choice, exceptional care and equity of access are central to CHEC’s operations and ethos, which is why we’re proud to collaborate with NHS partners nationwide, helping to keep waiting times to a minimum while delivering the very best quality of care,’ said CHEC chief commercial officer Jose Bailey.

Working in partnership with the NHS, CHEC has more than 20 community hospitals nationwide including north of England sites in Sheffield, Greater Manchester and Newcastle.
