A year-long campaign by the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) has been backed by Damian Hinds MP, parenting website Mumsnet and Vision Express.
Launched in May, the campaign has called on the Department of Health to publish information on the signs of retinoblastoma.
The charity also welcomed news that warning signs of childhood eye cancer will be included in each new copy of the Personal Child Health Record (known as the red book or PCHR), distributed to parents on the birth of their child. As part of the campaign, mother Katy Bishop (pictured) is raising awareness after the slow diagnosis of her son Owen with retinoblastoma.
