Vision Express has held nationwide auditions for its Star Pupil campaign.
A total of 350 children attended practices last month, posing for pictures in their eyewear. The winner will be offered an all-inclusive trip to Disneyland Paris.
Omar Hassan, head of professional services at Vision Express, said: 'It has been really pleasing to see so many families embrace this competition and, most importantly, learn more about children's eye care. A lot of children had never had an eye test and we saw a rise in the number of bookings for the free eye examinations in the participating stores which demonstrates that the campaign has succeeded in raising awareness of eye care among families, which is particularly encouraging.'
