The company said that the situation was caused by CIBA placing a 'voluntary hold' on its supply of speciality lenses while performing a regulatory document review.
'This action does not reflect on the established quality and safety performance of CIBA Vision speciality lenses on back order. Unfortunately, this situation has had an impact on the availability of CIBA Vision speciality lens brands.
'We are committed to resolving this issue thoroughly,' the company said.
