A golf team from UltraVision CLPL will attempt to break the world record for the fastest round of golf by a four-man team at the Northumberland World Record Golf Challenge this month.
The current record for the round of golf is one hour 32 minutes, but the UltraVision CLPL team has so far beaten this by 10 minutes and hopes to further improve this at the event on June 19.
A second world record attempt is also taking place on the same day in which the teams hope to achieve the greatest number of golfers to complete a course in 24 hours.
All proceeds from the UltraVision CLPL team (Russell Hayhoe, Simon Crowder, John Lyon and Andy Crawford) will go to the RNIB.
'This is a marvellous event, in which we feel quietly confident that we have a good chance of beating the world record,' said group sales manager John Lyon. 'Through the event we hope to raise a lot of money for this very deserving charity,' he added.
