College of Optometrists celebrates OPO’s centenary

The College of Optometrists marked the 100-year anniversary of Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics (OPO), its international research journal. 

Widely read by optometrists, clinicians and educators, OPO has served as a key resource for evidence-based practice and as a platform for publishing original research in optometry and vision science. 

To take OPO into its second century, the College announced a new publishing partnership with Springer Nature, with their first issue together due in January 2026.
