Nominations for the College of Optometrists’ Research Excellence Awards 2024 have opened to celebrate how optometric research has enriched the profession.
The awards were designed to recognise individuals who have made a significant contribution to the evidence base that underpins good practice, now or in the future.
Awards included the new Frank Petticrew Award for contact lens research, practice or education in optometry, as well as the Neil Charman Medal for research and the Philip Cole Prize for practice-based research.
Other categories included the George Giles Postgraduate Research Prize and the Giles Van Colle Memorial Award for research or clinical case work related to paediatric optometry.
